You've been at the beach all day, had your
siesta and now your ready to dance the night away, well, Cancún is the
place! Cancún has huge choice of nightclubs, discos and bars.
The discos go on most of the night, the bars range from traditional to
down right
funky. Live music and Karaoke, to loud disco music, it just depends on your mood. Mini skirt,
bikini and wet 'T' shirt contests, along with other promotions, are numerous. There are
"Ladies Nights" where women drink for free and even some Chippendale
type shows. Everyone should easily find a place to call their
favourite. Ask around among other tourists and some locals and you will
probably be able to find out hot establishments of the moment.
Cancún is famous for its nightlife, and several of the big resort hotels
in the Hotel Zone have discos. S ome
host Mexican fiesta nights that include dinner and a folkloric show. The
better-known shows are at the Hyatt Regency and the Camino Real. Among the popular hot spots are El Azucar in the Camino Real and -- known for their loud music and large,
rowdy crowds -- Coco Bongo, La Boom and Dady'O on Boulevard Kukulcan.
You also can take the party to the water on one of Cancu n's
"party cruises." These cruises usually last several hours and include
food, drinks, dancing and, of course, a limbo contest. Back on
land, if you tire of the party scene, the jazz club
Roots, in Ciudad Cancún, is a nice alternative to the disco beat of clubs along Boulevard Kukulcan.
Most bars stay open until at least 2 am, discos until at least 3 am, but
many places keep going until dawn, especially when spring-break
revellers are in town.
